NAYA ABIAD (b.1998)

Naya Abiad a Syrian visual artist based in Dubai, UAE

She graduated from the Faculty of art education 2020 University of Helwan. Her work explores themes of identity, memory, and belonging through mixed media techniques, such as oil painting, drawing and sometimes collage.

As an artist, she is always working on her techniques in oil painting, trying to capture the essence of her subjects with vivid strokes and colors. She is also digging through layers of self-explorations, discovering new aspects of her identity and personality that influence her artistic vision. She is fascinated by the subtle nuances of human emotion and how it can affect her surroundings and vice versa.

She believes that art is a powerful medium to express and communicate feelings, thoughts and experiences that words cannot fully convey. She hopes that her paintings can inspire and connect with others who share her passion and curiosity for life.
